Today Gordon Brown is touring the TV and radio stations and will host a press conference in Downing Street. His message is "I'm on the side of the poor and low paid" - and says he gave an extra tenner a month to those people because the price of fuel, milk and bread is rising. Does this man
have any idea? How far does he think a tenner will go? And let's not forget, the emergency budget was only brought about because he inflicted a tax INCREASE on the lowest paid in the first place.
Inflation is now officially out of control; house prices are on the way down; food and fuel bills are rising faster than most people can remember; reposessions are up 17%; businesses are going to the wall...something tells me an extra tenner in your wage packet isn't going to make that much difference.
